I didn’t find his comic terribly offensive, but yes, women get a lot of abuse gaming. I haven’t really experienced it myself much because I actually avoid playing with strangers because of this very reason, but I know some girls that get constant abuse, threats and the like.  For me, a sincere apology would have been enough in this situation (had I been offended) but I just wanted to say I’m amazed that he went out of his way and donated to a good cause.  That was above and beyond and proves that he’s got a good heart.
